If this is a town why isn't it catagorised?Stick2012 (talk) 03:08, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

It is categorized as a village of Alberta. That was added a few hours before your comment. However, it is an interesting case as Ralston is a "Crown Village" and owned by the Government of Canada. This makes it a little different from other communities. Dubious20 (talk) 12:15, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
This Ralston article is no longer categorized as a village (or a hamlet) of Alberta as it is not recognized as either by the Province of Alberta.--Hwy43 (talk) 04:26, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
Another interesting note: Is Ralston on CFB Suffield? Or is it south of CFB Suffield? I suspect that it makes little difference as most of the area is "owned" by the Federal Government and managed by CFB Suffield. Dubious20 (talk) 02:34, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
Ralston is on CFB Ralston as confirmed by various Cypress County and provincial maps, just like other military communities in Alberta are on their respective military bases.--Hwy43 (talk) 04:26, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
It is clear that the Crown Village of Ralston is not listed as part of Alberta"s municipality structure. I don't think it ever was. I cannot find any other reference to another Crown Village in Canada. I can locate the organization that manages the housing which is the Canadian Forces Housing Agency and they say this about Ralaton. "The housing site is located in the village of Ralston and provides various amenities. It is located halfway between the TransCanada and the Base." I should also note that the village existed prior to the establishment of CFB Suffield. 205.206.96.247 (talk) 19:57, 26 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
