This article should be moved edit

I'm not exactly sure where it should be moved, but this seems like an utterly trivial article, because I can't see any reason why someone would think "I don't quite get this." Samer (talk) 20:22, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

NBA and WNBA records edit

I think most, if not all, of the content in the "NBA records" and "WNBA records" sections should be removed. This article is not intended to be NBA/WNBA-centric, and furthermore this information is redundant with that contained in List of NBA regular season records, List of NBA post-season records, List of NBA All-Star Game records, and List of WNBA regular season records. If there are no objections, I will remove these sections by around the end of the current month.—Myasuda (talk) 02:38, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your concern and help. I think a vote should be made on this or patience to resolve. Most of it is not redundant, not at all included on the other pages.... yes 5% is included on the other wiki pages... but 95% is not and nowhere on wiki. If that is your plan, a lot of transferring needs to occur beforehand... I strongly disagree with your desire to remove the content at the moment. On a side note, the following articles need to be created which this article has brought to our attention - List of WNBA post-season records, List of WNBA All-Star Game records, List of Women's National Basketball Association single-game scoring leaders, List of highest-scoring WNBA games, List of Women's National Basketball Association career playoff scoring leaders, List of Women's National Basketball Association single-game playoff scoring leaders. The NBA-equivalent articles exist so too should WNBA have them. Also, there should be a page on Margin of victory (sports) as we have one for Comeback (sports). By the way, adding this material took me many hours of work so please give me time to move info. BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 17:53, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Okay, no rush. I won't touch the article, at least until there's a consensus which is satisfactory to all participants. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.—Myasuda (talk) 19:02, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
As we sort this out, I should note that Double-double, Rebound (basketball), and more share NBA/WNBA/NCAA records which are not included on their supposed "all-inclusive" records articles (List of NBA regular season records etc.) The question is do we merge info into aforementioned "all-inclusive" records pages OR leave as is -BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 21:43, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I recommend transferring league specific records to their respective lists -- that's where I feel they belong. Just be aware that some editors who monitor these lists that can be quite strict about references, so your data transfer will be more likely to "stick" if you attach your supporting sources. If you need assistance with citing sources, let me know and I can help.—Myasuda (talk) 02:49, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Actually, your sourcing looks quite good. There shouldn't be any problem with the content transfer.—Myasuda (talk) 03:19, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
