From what I know, Brantôme did not accompany Filippo di Piero Strozzi to the Azores in 1582.
"Brantôme fought on the galleys of the Order of Malta, and accompanied his great friend, the French commander Filippo di Piero Strozzi, in the latter's expedition to Terceira, in which Strozzi was killed (1582)."

- @Lô Sù: that information was pulled from the 1911 encyclopedia brittanica, so it is quite possible its rubbish,
- however do you have any source for your disbelief? Sovietblobfish (talk) 18:56, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
