Talk:National Register of Historic Places listings in Providence County, Rhode Island

Way too big edit

After my recent additions to this list, it's getting to be extremely large: 105K at last count.

We need to split off a separate list for the RHPs in the city of Providence, which would seem (without even actually counting) to account for almost, if not more than, half of the entries here. Even without the city, there's still (Compare with the much more manageable Newport County list, where although the city of Newport has lots of entries, the other towns in the county (Little Compton in particular) have so few that it offsets the city's bloat to the point that it's a third as long as this one).

I would also not rule out giving Pawtucket a separate list, too. Daniel Case (talk) 19:41, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • I agree..it is almost too large to work with. I'll try to create a new page with the Providence sites Swampyank (talk) 19:46, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
See List of Registered Historic Places in Worcester County, Massachusetts#Southbridge for a proposed way of splitting off cities, while still keeping the WP:NRHP format. tiZom(2¢) 13:41, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
On second thought, I like the way Clariosophic did it better. tiZom(2¢) 15:02, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
