Criticisms edit

I've reverted the last edit which took out the first of the criticism bullets. You can hardly say the criticism is incorrect without some evidence to back it up. By all means state your objections here and we can discuss them. --Bluegrouper 12:32, 27 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not signed in, but just to say that the Audit Commission no longer exists, so reference to this needs to be updated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.78.221.40 (talk) 13:51, 3 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

The first four criticism bullets appear to be unreferenced. Surely the evidentiary burden is the other way round? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.81.163.14 (talk) 21:36, 19 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Quite so. Most of this section was inserted in 2006 by Bluegrouper, who provided only three references, seemingly for specific details rather than the overall criticisms. Bluegrooper then demanded evidence that the criticisms were wrong - see first comment above. That is not in accordance with Wikipedia's fundamental principle of verifiability but it is a sadly familiar defence of material composed by an editor rather than drawn from sources. Wikipedia:No original research applies here. We also have the problem that the criticisms are presented as current; even if they were current in 2006, they may not be so now and we may be misleading our readers by presenting them as current. I've therefore tagged the section as needing updating as well as seeming to breach WP:OR. 79.73.247.60 (talk) 20:51, 7 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
