Talk:NASCAR Hall of Fame

Official Location edit

Now that the offical location has been chosen, should the potential locations be changed to places that did not receive the Hall of Fame?

The entire first part of the article really ought to be rewritten at this point, to reflect that. --Mhking 21:29, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Does anyone know if the 'finalist' cities, such as KC, submitted bids? 166.128.15.247 (talk) 16:45, 30 June 2009 (UTC)!Reply

Template:Current edit

Why is the {{Current}} template on this page. It is not a breaking news story that is going to have lots of edits. I am deleting it. BlankVerse 05:40, 14 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

First Race? edit

I removed the line that stated Lowe's was the site of NASCAR's first race which is totally untrue. NASCAR was running races long before Charlotte Motor Speedway was ever even thought about. The first raceway designed with NASCAR in mind was Darlington in the early fifties and NASCAR was running races long before that. The Shado' Some of the first races were held in wilkesboro. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.148.220.40 (talk) 04:47, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I think the first one was held at Charlotte Speedway (not related to Charlotte Motor Speedway). ZappaOMati 03:33, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Half the population of the US? Really? edit

"Another factor that helped in the winning bid was the fact that over half of the total population of the USA was living within a 500-mile (800 km) radius of the greater Charlotte region."

I'm having my doubts about that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.119.33.39 (talk) 08:27, 16 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Photo edit

NASCAR HoF from CCC

Anyone want to incorporate this photo somewhere in the article? It's the actual front of the building. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Groupuscule (talkcontribs) 00:13, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Category edit

Would it make sense to create a NASCAR Hall of Fame Inductees category?--Gordonrox24 | Talk 19:17, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yes, there should be a Inductee category. -- Nascar1996(TalkContribs) 19:28, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
