The history section needs to be greatly expanded, particularly with regard to the unilateral clauses in the unequal treaties negotiated with the Qing Empire & al. in the 19th century, used to negotiate ever larger and larger concessions which immediately applied to every other involved colonial power because of MFN clauses. — LlywelynII 06:52, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
