Nice work on the photo, there is an old (maybe a couple of 100 years) in Monmouth Museum, I'll take a picture tomorrow.

"Coincidentally...?" edit

I'm not sure that it's a coincidence that there is a reference to the Monmouth cap in Henry V. He was known as Henry of Monmouth when young, and it seems to me (most definitely not a Shakespeare scholar) that that would have been known to the play's audience. Does your source state that it was a coincidence? If not, I suggest a rewording may be needed. Ghmyrtle (talk) 16:09, 11 January 2012 (UTC) Now tweaked. Do have a go at a form of words. I didn't know he was "Henry of Monmouth". Tempting to suppose that the name for the cap stuck because Henry was from there .... but thats a PhD and/or OR :-) I have proposed however that this runs on DYK on March 1st which would be a nice link. Photo edit

Any chance of a photo of someone wearing a cap so we can see what it looks like as worn? 86.134.116.162 (talk) 11:27, 1 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
