"ventripotent" seems a bit strong of an adjective. how about "corpulent"? can there be multiple protagonists of a radio show? should this word be changed to participants?

didn't michael golic play 11 nfl seasons? this entry asserts 9. please provide source.

He actually played 8 seasons, according to this source.[1] It was 1.5 seasons for the Oilers, 5.5 for the Phillies, and 1 for the Dolphins.AEMoreira042281 13:51, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Greenie never played any organized sport and hence was never drafted to the NFL as stated in this entry.

Steroids and Onorem

I'm not sure who Onorem is, but he acts like he's Mike Golic's agent or son. The bottom line is Golic DID make the statement on the Mike and Mike Show that he would not cooperate with a steroid investigation and that he believed it was no worse than speeding or jaywalking. A few days later he admitted to using steroids, though he claimed it was for an injury. There is no medical evidence that steroids would EVER be used for the type of injury he had. Unless someone else reports about it, it's not worth being said here. We don't update the article every time he makes a statement on his show. Who cares if his opinion is that steroids are no worse than speeding or jaywalking? If someone else didn't write a story or report on it, we shouldn't mention it. Where is your reference stating that steroids would never be used to treat the type of injury he had? Without one, it would appear to be your own original research. Unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material — whether negative, positive, or just questionable — about living persons should be removed immediately and without discussion from Wikipedia articles...so that's what I'm going to do, again. --Onorem♠Dil 15:42, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Here's one story [2] from when Ankiel was caught. There is never a reason to take steroids for a sports injury. Unlike Lyle Alzado and Bill Romanowski, Golic is not being honest about why he used them. His comments about steroid use in sports being no worse than speeding or jaywalking relate completely to this episode. Ok, they aren't perfect links, but they do establish that there is NO MEDICAL reason to take steroids or HGH for a sports injury. I'll have to find a better, more scholarly, link for that. Steroids are used medically for people with growth issues or for AIDS patients that are battling "wasting." There has never been proof that steroids are used for sports injuries. That is simply the latest excuse people like Golic are using to make their cheating seem like a somehow noble or excusable thing. Oddibe (talk) 21:08, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

In fact, the USA Today article specifically disagrees with your statement. It says, "Promotes muscle growth by improving ability of muscle to respond to training and improving recovery". --Onorem♠Dil 21:20, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

I thought we'd settled this whole steroid issue. Why the removal yet again? Golic did admit to using steroids AND he did say just a week before on the show that he wouldn't have cooperated with any steroid investigations and that steroid usage is like speeding or jaywalking in terms of crimes.
