Propose renaming the article from 'McLeod Ganj' to 'McLeodGanj' for consistency with spelling of other Indian place names edit

It is customary in India for place names that end with the suffix 'ganj' (Hindi: गंज) (which is commonly translated in English as 'neighbourhood') to be rendered as one word. Well-known examples include Paharganj (in Delhi).

In common English usage, both 'McLeodGanj' and 'McLeod Ganj' are in circulation, but the former is preferred. As of Feb 2012, Googling "mcleodganj" -"mcleod ganj" produces 2,920,000 results, whereas the opposite ("mcleod ganj" -"mcleodganj") produces only 2,260,000 results. Not exactly a landslide, but it does favour the single-word spelling by nearly 700,000.

Thus, I propose renaming this article from 'McLeod Ganj' to 'McLeodGanj' for consistency with spelling of other Indian place names and with the mainstream English language usage.

Any comments? I LOVE MCLEOD GANJ AND IT IS VERY NICE PLACE FOR EVERY PEOPLE AND I AM SO HAPPY THAT I WAS BORN IN MCLEOD GANJ......YOU CAN NEVER EVER FIND LIKE MCLEOD GANJ PLACE IN WHOLE OVER THE WORLD...VISIT IT... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.110.128.141 (talk) 21:48, 22 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
