La Ouerasse

I can verify that La Ouerasse preceded L'Equipeur in Quebec (it was quite controversial) but I cannot be 100% certain that 1992 was the year of the switch. Sounds about right, though. Shawn in Montreal 06:46, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

The store is well established and has received enough media coverage to satisfy Wikipedia's notability criteria. For instance, Canadian Tire's acquisition of the chain was a big enough story to warrant coverage on CBC and other national news outlets. —Psychonaut (talk) 16:44, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Contested deletion - this article should not be speedy deleted because... (2017)

It is the only source of publicly-available information on this company and it serves a purpose in educating and informing the public on this firm. The main page, referenced articles and the page's talk section are valuable sources of known information on this firm. People who don't feel qualified/knowledgeable enough to comment on/edit the main article can still post important and relevant information in the page's talk section. The article hasn't been listed for speedy deletion. There's no need to provide reasons why we shouldn't do something nobody has proposed we do in the first place. Bearcat (talk) 16:16, 5 May 2017 (UTC)

@Bearcat: I believe they're talking about the nomination above, which was proposed in 2011 and successfully fought against. They seem to keep reposting it though, probably thinking it's still in the process of being deleted. FosterHaven (talk) 00:13, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
