The article says that Maria Est is uninhabited, but examination of satellite pictures makes it clear that it is not unused. Almost the whole atoll is under cultivation — or at least I don't think that palm trees are known for naturally arranging themselves into what looks like a repeating hexagonal pattern. What are they growing, coconuts for copra, or perhaps ⟨sʜᴜᴅᴅᴇʀ!⟩ oil palms? And who is doing the growing? Some mention should be made of land use, especially as the atoll's whole natural environment seems to have been wiped out, except perhaps at the north end. Kelisi (talk) 04:33, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
