COI or PAID? edit

I queried User:Crispgatoglitz, who has recently created more than 100 of edits to the article (and to no other articles) if COI or PAID. Denied either. C is new to Wikipedia and needs connections to guidelines on how to reference. David notMD (talk) 18:24, 24 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

I asked the same thing at User talk:Crispgatoglitz#Conflict of interest and the response on at User talk:Marchjuly#Regarding conflict of interest was that they have no COI and are just a fan. I'm willing to WP:AGF on that, but the Crispgatoglitz is new and a WP:SPA; so, they might not be very familiar with WP:BLP and other relevant policies/guidelines. Perhaps more eyes on the article (at least for a while) would be a good thing, so that content like what Hullaballoo Wolfowitz just removed here can trimmed out/discussed. None of those things automatically mean that Crispgatoglitz cannot edit the article and be WP:BOLD; only that he/she should be willing to be also WP:CAUTIOUS when making a major revision or adding lots of new content. Moreover, if content is then subsequently challenged by others and removed, then he/she should follow WP:DR. There's nothing wrong per se with a fan of Fadnis creating or editing content about her on Wikipedia as long as they follow WP:5P and are careful to avoid WP:FANCRUFT. My guess is that's Fadnis is probably notable, but that over the years IPs, etc. have added content that it probably a bit suspect and may need to be cleaned up. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:26, 27 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
