My son has been a Jansonien for years, and never have I heard about the motto mentioned on this page, nor is it mentioned on the official website. I'll inquire about this though. Igreilly 09:38, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

This article is false, it was probably made by a "propagandist" jansonien. the lycée not at all as famous as Henri IV and LLG. See the french wikipedia : "Selon différents classements établis sur la base des indicateurs officiels du ministère de l'Éducation Nationale, le lycée se situe autour de la moyenne départementale, et dans le premier quart des lycées au plan national[5]." (somehing like "According to different ratings of the ministry, the lycée is in the departemental average, and in the first quarter nationwide").Zerbob (talk) 18:09, 19 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

The reference given is pertinent but the quote selected from it is not. It is related bo section ES only, while the Lycee Janson is mostly focus on section S (241 students in S vs 72 in ES). More sense will be made from the reference if we quote "En 2015, les candidats du lycée Janson De Sailly qui se sont présentés au bac S (série scientifique) ont été 97,5 % à décrocher leur diplôme et 71,7 % à se voir décerner une mention. Comparés aux résultats du département (taux de réussite de 95,2% et taux de mention de 71,6 %), les résultats du lycée Janson De Sailly sont au-dessus de la moyenne pour le bac S. Son taux de mention étant compris entre 70 et 80%, le lycée Janson De Sailly obtient 2 palmes dans le palmarès du bac S.", and eventually use the English translation:

"In 2015, 97.5% of candidates from Lycée Janson De Sailly who took the bac S (scientific series) obtained their diploma and 71.7% received a mention. Compared to the results of the department (success rate of 95.2% and mention rate of 71.6%), the results of Lycée Janson De Sailly are above average for bac S. Its mention rate being between 70 and 80%, the Lycée Janson De Sailly obtains 2 palms in the prize list of the bac S."
