Areas article does not cover edit

I couldn't find much in the article discussing the launches of these missions. (What vehicles were used, etc.) I also couldn't find much about the maneuvers used to get from Earth into orbit around the Moon. Both of these seem reasonable to expect in a class=B article, so since they're absent this looks more like a class=C article.... (sdsds - talk) 21:14, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Which areas of the moon was Lunar Orbiter not able to photograph? Why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.46.242.199 (talk) 05:33, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I don't think that 99% is accurate. Missions I, II, III, and V only covered specific sites on the moon, so are almost irrelevant to the question. Mission IV performed complete coverage of the near side of the moon, but covered only portions of the far side. I'm having trouble interpreting from the diagrams what portion of the backside were imaged. Note that there are many images that didn't make it back to earth--either the photography equipment failed or the transmission equipment failed--approximately 10% of medium resolution images and about 26% of high resolution images. Battle to translate... edit

I am busy translating this article to Afrikaans on the Afrikaans Wikipedia. I am battling with this sentence:The resulting outstanding views were of generally very high spatial resolution and covered a substantial portion of the lunar surface, but they suffered from a “venetian blind” striping, missing or duplicated data, and frequent saturation effects that hampered their use.

The views referred to: is it the actual picture? Regards. Oesjaar (talk) 09:53, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
