Lumpy Skin Disease edit
The Veterinary Clinical Expert Group, headed by the Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan, developed the following guidelines for the treatment / control of LSD (Lumpy Skin Disease). Control of Livestock Movement: To the extent possible, unvaccinated cattle and buffaloes should not be allowed within a three-kilometre radius of the affected area and vaccinated animals should be allowed to move within 28 days of vaccination. Infected animals may be irresponsibly slaughtered within the affected zone for treatment unless the herd has a strong immune system.
