What was the aim of this massacre?

To inflict fear/terrorize the public. As noted in the article, the attackers killed people relatively randomly, killing mostly Christian pilgrims. MG196 15:07, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

I find the last statement, that the samurai scene from "The Life of Brian" might represent Japanese participation in the Lod Massacre very, very unlikely. I think it is more likely that the samurai are included because they had a heritage of suicide. I am going to delete this passage. --Minarelli 12:58, 30 May 2008 (GMT)

Hello.

What is the source for the list of victims? isn't a citation needed?

I have a good reason to suspect that the list is not accurate, Since my grandmother, who was murdered in this event, does not appear in it (or were they lying to me all those years?)

Violin cases, and who is copying from whom?

The claim that the weapons were held in "slim violin cases" was added by an anon in 2007 without bringing a source. I'm wondering how solid this information is. Previously the text just read "slim cases", which matches many good sources I could find that just refer to luggage. I do see "violin cases" in some recent sources, but I'm not sure if they are authoritative rather than just copying off each other. Speaking of copying, this book published in 2011 contains a verbatim copy of a paragraph that we had here in 2008. Zero^talk 13:16, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

There are many reliable sources confirming this. E.g. The 50 Worst Terrorist Attacks By Edward F. Mickolus, Susan L. Simmons. But mainly - it is already correctly described in the wiki article itself with proper source. Only the summary is wrong. —Druggula (talk) 11:45, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

Weapons listed in sidebar are incorrect.

The article correctly states that Czech vz. 58 rifles were used however the sidebar summary says "Kalashnikov assault rifles" were used. These are two different types of weapons that are only superficially similar. Sidebar should be updated to match the article.
