Deletion edit

@Dissident93:My goodness, that deletion notice is heinously obnoxiously ugly, and should be a stub which mentions details on the Talk page instead.  ;) Anyway, Dissident93 said "Redundant, as the main Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development page already lists all the software worked on by EAD in far more detail." So I'm curious; doesn't that mean that content should be moved from the main page into this list page? There's no way a list that's even this detailed should go on a main page, is there? Also, shouldn't this issue be mentioned at the WP:VG Talk page, as the notice instructs? Thanks for any clarification. @Sergecross73:Smuckola (Email) (Talk) 02:06, 14 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Smuckola: Yeah, my bad. I just thought this article was entirely redundant. I'm not against copying the info from the main page onto here, but any game before 2003 shouldn't be listed here if that happens. Not to mention there are a lot of other inaccuracies listed here (which have since been corrected on the main article) ~ Dissident93 (talk) 03:36, 14 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Dissident93: Hm, I would like to believe sometimes that a crufty cleanup effort like this will be worthwhile, because I'm guessing it's the result of an older and cruftier era of Wikipedia, maybe around 2005-2008. Right?  ;) Being mostly of historical value, I would imagine that this list would NOT be a topic of any dumb contention or vandalism; so if someone was to properly reconcile the two into this article, the changes would stick, and would be worth doing. Right? It seems that the deletion request should be turned into a merge request, where you note that the main article has most of the correct data? — Smuckola (Email) (Talk) 03:47, 14 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Smuckola: Yeah, that's also true. Either the data from the main article should be merged here, or this article should just be removed. I'm fine with either one really. Should I go ahead and remove the deletion tag then? ~ Dissident93 (talk) 07:22, 14 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Dissident93: Yeah dude that's one massive tome of data to be in a main article. Hoo boy! It's one of a long list of such lists. There's a tag for merging, that can be put into the main article. — Smuckola (Email) (Talk) 07:43, 14 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
I've removed the PROD tag per request. Thanks, Nakon 01:43, 22 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Smuckola: Any chance that this can be deleted again, after the news that EAD is no more (merged with SPD to become Nintendo EPD). The games list located on the Nintendo EAD article is better formatted and more up to date, as this article doesnt list anything after 2011. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 22:31, 16 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
