The best sources for country names are florae and herbals. I especially rely on "An Illustrated Flora of the Northern United States and Canada", and "A Modern Herbal" (will put biblios in the resources section later).

Wolf berry

Botonists: does anyone have information on the various Lycium species known as wolf berry in the desert Southwest -- were used as food sources by indiginous people? Please see the discussion page on Hovenweep National Monument. Possible source:

Strange selection

This is a strange list. A lot of common plants missing: onion, hemp, wheat, rice, sugarcane. It looks like it grew out of a list of North American wild plants, and has been abandoned years ago. Any objections when I unsystematically infuse some common plants from the non-North American parts of the world? Stupid girl (talk) 23:42, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

What may be more useful is to have an entry such as lambsfoot followed by the major taxa that have this as a common name somewhere. I don't see much of a point. It would probably cause endless arguments as to what plants should have a photo and what shouldn't since you obviously can't have one for every single plant. Snowmanonahoe (talk) 21:33, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
