Sourcing problems edit

Blogs, self-published websites, and sites without editorial oversight or a reputation for fact checking are among the poor sources used in this article. I have removed them. Please read WP:RS for policy on what constitutes a reliable, secondary source. Elizium23 (talk) 04:01, 12 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Unscheduled edit

Does anyone think that there ought to be an "Unscheduled" section to include the names of the soon-to-be beatified? Seems appropriate, given they can then be added into the table when it comes to pass. 59.102.15.128 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:14, 22 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Reverting edit

I'd like to put it out there that this current look of the article makes it - and other similar articles - far too messy and clunky; I'd say that it should remain as a table but excessive edits on location only be confined to city and country. This makes the article look much cleaner; maybe even the page should be locked only for users. 220.240.154.119 (talk) 16:49, 19 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Dubious attribution edit

These beatifications are all attributed to Pope Francis, when in reality he is not doing them anymore! The Holy See has decreed that beatifications are to be performed in the local diocese by a local prelate. Therefore, the title of this article is obsolete. Yes, the ceremonies have been authorized and green-lit by the Holy Father, but they are not "beatified by Pope Francis", and therefore we need to make that distinction clearer. Repeating my comments from WP Catholicism: we ought to rename the article to something like "List of beatifications under Pope Francis" and organize by continent. ~ Pbritti (talk) 17:27, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
I think we ought to rename it to "List of beatifications in the Catholic Church in 2022" and 2021, 2020, etc.Do away with naming the Pope altogether. "Under" just confuses it more and engenders more untrue assumptions. Elizium23 (talk) 18:48, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
If you want to do that, I'll support that option, too! ~ Pbritti (talk) 19:58, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
