List source and completeness edit

A source to use to help make this more complete:

For both, set the state to the desired state, browse for a county, set include grade 12, and search. --Arg342 (talk) 23:24, 25 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Some NY resources:
NYSED listing of all known current schools at [1].
NY GIS mapping to find the true locality of any point in New York at [2].

  • As of this date, for the counties through Niagara County, all PUBLIC and PRIVATE schools should be complete per the NCES lists.--Arg342 (talk) 11:37, 3 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Non schools edit

The following are entries that are found in databases, but appear to be non-schools. If additional information is found, please add it here:

Chatham Islamic Charter School, Chatham has been removed. edit

I have removed this entry because there is virtually no evidence to support its existence. The entry was added by an IP user in October of 2012, so I can't contact the original editor. There is no listing at NCES or NYSED. The only thing I could find was an entry at classmates.com listing four students one of which was an obvious phony or vandalism. If anyone can find evidence, please feel free to add it back in.--Arg342 (talk) 15:43, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Monroe County: Lakeside Alpha / Lakeside Learning edit

These two schools appear to be one. The NCES database lists them as separate. Lakeside Alpha as #A0902320 with a PO box in Rochester and a phone number that reverse lookups to a printing company. Manta lists Lakeside Alpha Inc with a street address in Webster. Lakeside Learning's NCES listing #A0902321 has the same street address as Manta's Lakeside Alpha Inc. Also the phone number in that NCES listing seems to belong to Lakeside Alpha Inc. Manta has no listing for Lakeside Learning. Nether name has its own website. Both NCES listings give virtually the same statistics of 21 students total over grades 3-12. Based on this, I conclude they are the same school and have listed it as such.--Arg342 (talk) 10:33, 8 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
