The list before I updated it was highly incomplete and outdated. There were about 1082 species in the article, of which only 865 appear to be in Plants of the World Online (PoWO), so there were 217 synonyms or otherwise outdated names. But PoWO has 3066 accepted species, so only 865/3066 = 28% of the PoWO species were in the article under their correct names.

There does not appear to be any infra-generic classification available that covers the whole genus, so I've just created an alphabetic list. Peter coxhead (talk) 07:11, 8 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
