Pronunciation

I edited out some of the article concerning pronunciation. I am a native Middle Tennessean and lived near Lebanon much of my life. Never did I hear anyone pronounce the name of the town as leb-a-none, with a long 'o'. We might use a country accent, but the basic pronunciation would be like what you would hear from a mid-Western newscaster. No native Tennessean would refer to Middle Tennessee as 'central'. You would be looked at funny. We have three geographic regions with deep historical roots - East, Middle and West as in the three stars on the state flag. Biased

Confusing information

According to this article this town is called Cedar city because of its abundance of Cedar trees; but then I looked up Lebanon, Ohio and it said exactly the same thing for a town with exactly the same name and both of which are hundred of miles away. Hardly coincidental. The country of Lebanon has been renowned for its cedars for millennia. Many towns in the USA share its name because there was an abundance of cedar in the area when it was settled. Lebanon TN is no exception. The nickname "Cedar City" emphasizes the reference to the orginal place. Ibadibam (talk) 18:38, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

Charlie Daniels

Why is Charlie Daniels listed as a “notable person” of Lebanon? I have nothing against Lebanon and I’m sure it’s a fine place, but Charlie was born in Wilmington, NC and grew up in Central North Carolina. There’s nowhere in his Wiki bio that mentions Lebanon. He’s listed among Notable People of Wilmington and that’s where he belongs 174.109.43.201 (talk) 15:10, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
