Info about wife edit

In this interview with Lewis Black, Mr. Black claims that he is Larry's wife's favorite comic:

ASP: So, what’s your relationship with Dan Whitney, Larry the Cable Guy?
LB: I told Dan to become Larry the Cable Guy and changed his life. No, I’ve known Dan since he was Dan Whitney, so I’ve watched him grow, and then I watched him really bust his hump. You might not like what Larry does and says, and you may not think it’s funny, but he did all the work. I’ve known him forever, and it’s like as he put it, “What am I going to tell my audience, to go home?” And we totally don’t agree on politics, but he’s a friend of mine. But, I’m his wife’s favorite comic. That’s the best part, so, I win.

Just curious which is correct? Is his wife's name Susie or Cara? I see in the first paragraph of that section it says it's Susie. A few paragraphs later it says it's Cara. I believe it is Cara because I have seen it elsewhere in several places. For instance, http://celebritybabies.people.com/2010/09/29/larry-the-cable-guy-and-wife-cara-how-we-healed-our-son’s-hip-dysplasia/ and http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1249256/bio. I don't wish to rock any boats so I am just putting my 2 cents here. Thanks. 71.3.101.247 (talk) 02:13, 14 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Material in need of sourcing edit

I'm moving the following material here until it can be properly sourced:

The few biographies of Whitney describe only the fictional life of Larry the Cable Guy, as he rarely speaks out of character when in public. His father died "a few years ago" in Florida, while his mother Shirley lives in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has an older sister, Debbie, who also lives in Lincoln. His older brother, Tom Whitney, Jr., with daughter Danielle, named after her uncle, lives in Florida. He and his wife, Cara, have been married since 2005, and they have a son and a daughter, Wyatt and Reagan.

Are we really certain about that, or is that a joke. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.224.52.228 (talk) 23:01, 19 November 2012 (UTC) Danny went to college at Baptist University of America in Decatur, GA. Wow edit

Someone jacked this page up so bad, I can't even revert the vandalism. Gotta go back to April, but it won't let me w/o doing a manual revert. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.189.249.13 (talk) 20:38, 5 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Birth location edit

Could someone provide a source for his birth place rather than edit warring about it? I have no idea which is correct, so I haven't touched either the changes of reverts; I don't know if the changes are vandalism or editors sincerely trying to correct an error. So...sources? Even unreliable ones? Qwyrxian (talk) 08:52, 2 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Birth Date edit

Just read in an article his birthday is February 18 not February 17. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.176.82.32 (talk) 13:58, 2 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

What's with the 1963 vs 1970 birth date fight going on? All other sources report 1963. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.7.233.134 (talk) 01:35, 12 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Prior to Larry The Cable Guy edit

Performed on Caroline's Comedy Hour on A&E in March 1993 (season 5, episode 5) under the name Dan Whitney.

Radio History edit

In the article, they mention that he was on WJRR in Orlando. Before this, he was a frequent caller and guest on WDIZ 100.3 in Orlando.

The reference to WDIZ in Panama City is incorrect. That may be their new location, but DIZ was originally a classic rock station in Orlando. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Neonhomer (talkcontribs) 03:52, 15 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Get er done edit

That expression redirects to this article, but those 3 words do not appear in it. I can't add that section myself because I got to this article by looking up "get er done" to find out what it means. So somebody please add it, because I have no idea on God's green Earth even what it might mean. Thankz, VerdanaBold 11:12, 25 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
