Almost the entirety of the introduction is not cited, and quite frankly I question the particular biased word choice utilized such as "challenges", "discrimination", and "legal protection", when quite clearly the only section that is cited reports an essence of freedom and laws to protect against discrimination.

But if there is a strong sense of actual discrimination (in South Korea), then cases and references need to be cited to support it. Otherwise the article is rampant with an unsupported and unfounded personal opinion, that seems to me, designed to press an agenda. Colonel Marksman (talk) 19:44, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

Re: Early 1990's Paragraph

"It appears though, that the attitude regarding homosexuality is softening in South Korea. It would be safe to say that South Korea's current atmosphere in relation to homosexuals resembles that of the United States in the early 1990's"

This is an unsourced argument and might represent an opinion rather than a verified fact.

Although i do not doubt that certainly some change in attitude is in progress, the above might be a hasty generalization and gross exaggeration.

On a secondary note, what reference is provided for the homosexual "atmosphere" of the "early 1990's" in the United States?

Unless proper citations are included that show the relations to the 1990's gay rights movements in the United States, i will proceed to delete the above quoted segment.

Hi Zz8w! It would be desirable and indeed necessary to provide some referencing for your recent claims especially about the conflict potential with muslim immigrants. Unclear paragraph on Military

Is the homosexuality banned among professional soldiers only or are the boys in mandatory service also somehow prosecuted? If they are prosecuted, how are they prosecuted?

Wording seems off, Citation missing

Intersex Peoples section

I added a section in the article about intersex peoples in Korea because I think it is a topic that Korean articles about LGBT do not include and I thought it may be a significant addition to this Wikipedia article. However, there is not a lot of published academic articles or other secondary sources about intersex people in Korea that I was able to find. If anyone is able to find or come across any information or sources that include information about intersex people in Korea, please add to the section! Aney1234 (talk) 18:49, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

This has changed

"The Supreme Court of Korea has ruled that in order for a person to be eligible for gender affirming care they must be over 20 years of age, single, and without children."
