Swedish Airforce F10 Base Logo

242mph in a 75mph zone!

Someone has to have a link to that one!!

Hmm.. It set the world record at Nuremburg test track ( a road DESIGNED for 200+ Mph, at 242Mph. I would think on a run though Texas, on only a standard freeway, its quite unlikely.

It is claimed that the CCR can reach 251Mph. ( Its Um... over 806Hp. )

I've removed the claim from the wiki because it's a myth made up by third parties. Arthur Chirkinian was the driver of the Koenigsegg, he himself never even made the 242 MPH ticket claim, but states he reached 238 MPH before they "blew up the speedometer", he then goes on to say "we saw the police... slammed on the brakes... he done us for 127 [MPH]". Pronunciation

• How do you pronounce it. Im sure alot of people other than me would want to know this.

The majority of British and American journalists refer to it as (Ko-niggs-egg). However, I have worked with the Swedish body in white engineers, and they all refer to the car as (Kerr-nick-segg). δ²_(Talk) 14:20, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Incorrect info

ER NO - this is totally incorrect. Think about it. 272mph? in texas? in a car that has been only proved to do 242mph on a purpose built track? faster than proven speed of SSC Ultimate? I think not. A more accurate reference is the one that I am replacing it with, the reporting of Jeremy Clarkson, presenter of UK's Top Gear. I will provide a secondary reference, but the main reference is Season 8, episode 1 for this information. Or, the other one is Gumball 3000 - The movie. Big Changes

Tiny error

The list at the bottom, listing the Koenigsegg vehicles actually links the Koenigsegg CCXR to the page for the Koenigsegg CCX, even though a page for the Koenigsegg CCXR exists:

Mistake in the records section

Mistake in statistic in the "List of Models" section

It states "Koenigsegg One:1 (2014) 6 units + 1 prototype – 0–400 km/h (248 mph) 2.0 sec" I don't have any references or links to show this is wrong, but... it's clearly impossible. Koenigsegg timeline template

I figured that since Bugatti has a road car timeline for their fairly sparse lineup, it would make sense to make one for Koenigsegg considering they have produced significantly more models over their 20 years of existence. Thoughts? Criticisms? Aab254 (talk) 21:51, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

Sources Needed

Removal or sources needed tag based on "Specific tags are far more useful than tagging the entire article when much of it is sourced." Agree, but that would be at least 16 instance. In addition, the second removal was because of "then specific section/para tags can be added for those instances, the article has 70 references." Okay, that would be 5 sections and 5 tags then. As stated, it is best to use the general tag. An article having 70 references in various places does not negate that the article as a whole needs more sources. Per Template:More citations needed, This template should be used only for articles where there are some, but insufficient, inline citations to support the material currently in the article.. Since this article already have 70 refs and I think that's more than just "some" reference, so I don't think it'll be appropriate to put {{mcn}} tag. Also, WP:FIXTHEPROBLEM also suggest to at least put {{citation needed}}. {{cn}} tag also makes easier for other editors to fix the problem in the future. Ckfasdf (talk) 08:51, 7 May 2023 (UTC)

Update: I have tagged several specific instances of content lacking inline citations, it took a few minutes of effort. I think that should be problem solved, now it would just be good if work can be done to verify and either remove or add citations for these instances. Sorry if you took it that way, but I didn't mean to be snarky. I genuinely meant it as I saw that you had added a source earlier yourself, so you may know of more, and as you know adding citations does do a lot more as it directly solves a problem rather than highlighting it. flag of Israel as main image bug

For some reason this page has the flag of israel.svg as banner, it does not appear in the history. I restarted the app, changed languages and articles, and it still shows the image. Sebschuth (talk) 23:23, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
