Stadium Height

Can any one check how high the stadium is above ground; because it doesn't seem to be very high, and that definitely makes it special and beautiful! To me it seems like a fun fact to know... The pitch seems under ground level, rather than like every other stadium which is build on ground level.

As far as I know, the stadium is been dig in the ground to blend with the souranding scenery. And while entering the stadium, you are going downstairs rather then upstairs and when you enter the stadium you are somewhere in the middle of the stands. But it wouldn't be easy to measure the hight, since it is different from stand to stand. While standing on the street the hight can be as low as just some 3-4 meters above you, but on the entrence it's higher. AnelZukic (talk) 15:26, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Stadium name

For those who are not acquainted with the renaming situation, as well as for those thinking that "move" from "A.F.Hase" to "C.S.Koševo" is somehow "controversial", and in a last ditch effort, I will try to explain it. The venue is owned by City of Sarajevo and, for the reason of political reorganization (Canton v. City Assembly v. City (Mayoral governorship)), the ownership is transferred to Municipality Center, which happened sometime between 1998-2002 (?). Point of this information is that venue is "publicly" owned - it "belongs" to all citizen, not only of Sarajevo, but to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. When the war of the 90's in Bosnia was finished, it was really popular to rename public properties, streets, and so on. Immediately after the war, some people from Sarajevo F.C., or close to the club, suggested to Sarajevo City Assembly / Gradsko Vijeće Grada Sarajeva (at the time - before the war it was Skupština Opština Sarajevo) to honor their deceased legendary player with renaming a venue of City Stadium to A.F.Hase Stadium. Assembly wholeheartedly accepted at first, but when emotions settled they realized that City of Sarajevo is more than one-club, or even one-sport city, and that since stadium belongs to every citizen of Bosnia, it would be inappropriate to rename it by taking a Sarajevo F.C. legend and not some other club legend, or consider even another sport legend altogether, not to mention that other things happened on that venue, that other people outside sport could earn their place among "deserving ones", and so on. - you get the point ?! Fortunately, and I mean this as Sarajevo F.C. supporter, at the end assembly (Gradsko Vijeće) decided that Sarajevo F.C. be granted a right as a tenant, under decades of contracts with the city, to rename stadium as they please within legal confinment of the contract - ie. use of new name officially for the purpose of all events under club's organizational mandate and authority, advertise it, sell tickets, apply at UEFA, etc. The assembly also paid homage of its own to this particular player by renaming a street in close proximity to the stadium to "Asim Ferhatović Hase" in his honor. However, in all other occasions - officially and legally (it is still registered under the name C.S.Koševo with Municipal Court and cadastral office/land-registry) - stadium name remained "City Stadium Koševo" !--౪ Santa ౪^99° 00:01, 5 November 2018 (UTC)

Change of name

Hello, since the stadium was yesterday long-term leased to FK Sarajevo, it seems the right time to discuss should we change the name to "Asim Ferhatović Stadium" or "Stadium" being the prefix, or even FK Sarajevo stadium. Also, there is one other option, about waiting it out, since the stadium now needs to be included in the municipal cadastral office, the land registry, which will probably see the official change of name.
