Alumni edit

Kate is said to be one of the alumni of New College, in Oxford. I am not sure that she actually graduated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.172.85.252 (talk) 09:54, 7 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Pete Davidson edit

They are not married, and he does not qualify as her partner for infobox purposes. That field is for "an unmarried long-term partner" per Template:Infobox person. Please don't add Davidson as her partner or worse yet, her spouse. Meters (talk) 07:50, 5 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Middle name is incorrect edit

Her middle name is Romany, not Romary. It was supposed to be Gypsy but then her parents agreed on Romany. Es8989 (talk) 15:14, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

That seems like a reasonable source, but we apparently have a contradictory source according to this thread in the talk archives. The link that 2012 discussion references, [1], doesn't seem to be available anymore. It's possible that a birth record/Ancestry.com record was incorrectly transcribed. Given that the Yahoo article quotes the subject, I'm leaning toward "Romany" per Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons#Self-published_sources (if Beckinsale says it's Romany, why shouldn't we believe her?) User:All Hallow's Wraith, any thoughts on this? OhNoitsJamie Talk 04:00, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Neither or those sources meet WP:RS guidelines. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:55, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Well, I understand, however, what better resources we have (if any) than the statement of the actress herself on her recent Instagram post? It would be at least wise to warn about this factual inconsitency on the Wikipedia page, because this way Wikipedia provides false information which inevitably floods the Internet. I would find not ideal if Wikipedia provides my wrong name and I even can not fix it. I did just quick search of Internet as I do not have too much time, but I know it is an issue and perhaps someone who blocks corrections and is in charge of the page should do a through research about the issue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pavel2803 (talkcontribs) 19:38, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

That's best I can do now. Wish you good luck. Pavel2803

I've updated the article with the Instagram Yahoo! source (which is really just repeating what Beckinsale said in her own Instagram post); all of the WP:SELFSOURCE criteria appear to be met here. OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:01, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

You need to provide a reliable source supporting your change. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:43, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Remove the portion of the sentence "the Paramount+ series" from the article. It is subversive advertising to draw interest towards a Paramount+ subscription. If Wikipedia truly claims to be advertisement free, sentences do not need to indicate where a series may be found, only that the actors played a role in it. 64.227.210.33 (talk) 03:06, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Done Per Guilty Party (TV series) this is indeed a Paramount+ streaming series, but since we don't list studios for her many films I agree that we don't need to mention the streaming service. As with the films the reader can follow the links to find out who created what. Meters (talk) 04:36, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
For the same reason I have removed the iTV mention. Meters (talk) 04:40, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Many pages mention the streaming service a show is on. That's not advertising, subversive or otherwise. Also, the show hasn't been on Paramount+ for a long time. 99.23.37.58 (talk) 04:17, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

I removed it because we did not need the information, not because I agreed that it weas "subversive". Meters (talk) 04:29, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Alright, then. I don't see any reason not to include it given that the streaming service is usually noted (see the pages for Andor, For All Mankind, or Outer Range, for instance), but I also don't have a strong opinion about it. 99.23.37.58 (talk) 06:49, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

To remove:

  • Per IMDb, Laura Harris voiced Selene in Underworld: Endless War (2011); Kate's not listed in the cast.
  • I watched Vacancy 2: The First Cut (2008) and checked it for Kate's supposed appearance via archival footage. It doesn't exist (and isn't mentioned on IMDb nor any other source beyond Wikipedia, without citation).

To add:

Documentary appearances (to add to the television table):

Audio (the "radio" table could be changed to "audio"):

Videogames:

Stage (the year each play was first performed might be added, as well):

  • Nina in a 1995 production of Anton Chekov's The Seagull (1896).
  • Toni in a 1996 production of Nick Grosso's Sweetheart (1996).
  • Anne in a 1996 production of Samuel Adamson's Clocks and Whistles (1996).
  • An unknown role in a 1996 production of Faithless.
  • Sorel Bliss in a 1996 production of Noël Coward's Hay Fever (1925).

Skits:

Advertisements (a table could be added):

To change:

  • "Rachel's Dream," "The Proposal," and "Republicans, Get in My Vagina" are short works and so should be in quotations marks rather than being italicized. "Rachel's Dream" is also an episode in an anthology (Video Fantasies) and so should be in quotation marks for that reason, as well.
