Does anyone know how he came to speak the German he spoke in U-571? As far as I could tell, his German was authentically spoken. Does he know German or did he simply rehearse and recite those particular lines (in German of course)?

It wouldn't surprise me if he had a minor in German or something similar since Middlebury is somewhat well known for its Foreign Languages department -- in particular, a fairly well-known scholar in Latin (whose name escapes me at the moment). -pj

Pulp Fiction edit

The Page does not mention his Part in Pulp Fiction. He played Amanda Plumbers boyfriend 'Bumpkin'. Johnwrd (talk) 13:47, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

He was also on the February 20 episode of House where he played a marriage counselor/motivational speaker and the main subject patient of the episode. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.219.217.23 (talk) 03:25, 22 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Early Years edit

Weber was born in London, the son of Susan Ann Caroline (née Coriat), a British socialite, and Thomas Evelyn "Tommy" Weber, a race car driver who also came from a wealthy family.[1][2] His father, whose name was originally Thomas Ejnar Arkner, was born in Denmark to a Danish father and English mother (whose surname, Weber, he later adopted).

Preceding is sufficient info on his ancestry.

Jake Weber's maternal grandfather was born in Mogador, Morocco to a Sephardic Jewish family.[4] Weber's maternal grandmother, Priscilla, was English; she was the daughter of politician Archibald Weigall and the granddaughter of business magnate Sir John Blundell Maple, 1st Baronet (her first husband had been peer Edward Curzon).

Cutting this ridiculous stuff out. It is more an explanation of his whole family line and their titles than his 'early years'.

I would say some of it can be shortened. However, we should certainly have a link to his great-grandfather Archibald Weigall and great-great-grandfather Sir John Blundell Maple, 1st Baronet as they have Wikipedia entries (and Weigall was Governor of South Australia, which is pretty notable). I think this new version I put in trims it effectively enough. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 04:39, 17 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
