why only electronically? edit

Why does this article pretend that information exchange is something which is usually done electronically? As long as there is not a clearcut difference with the term 'communication', it is something which exists longer than mankind, for example bees exchange information about the location off good flowers. Exchange of information through of found within documents developed exponentially since the invention of printed books and the improvement of mail in the early-modern period.
