Comment edit

I think demographics of Bangladesh and ethnic group should not cover in a same article. Its just a start from me.

The Physic desciption of people describing their skin, nose, face etc. is highly racist! and defenitely out of date! it was done 100 years ago in anthropology, but should definitely not be done today any more! for further interest take a look into anthropology during the last 30 year. please delete these parts! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.18.241.133 (talk) 16:44, 23 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

I was very pleased to find this article. It provides lots of information on the distinctive cultures that exist within Bangladesh's indigenous/adivasi population. However, I hope that contributions will be made in the future regarding human rights, health, education, discrimination, and displacement concerning the adivasi population. I also would like to add information about the ongoing Santal land conflicts, which have undoubtedly changed the political climate and displaced many people, as well as how extreme flooding in Bangladesh has affected its indigenous population in particular. In descriptions on different tribal groups, there were many opinions and generalizations with no citation to back it up (ex: it was mentioned of Santals that "they speak fluent Bangla", which is not entirely true for a large number of Santals). Many details about different aspects of culture should be developed upon, but I am happy that this article exists! Adakay (talk) 03:29, 15 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

The writing in this article is very elementary and heavily strewn with personal opinions. This must be reviewed and edited soon. Ninthline (talk) 21:53, 13 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
