Typo for "intendancy" :) --Joy [shallot] 11:06, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)

preceding entity, succeeding entity edit

I'm removing Septinsular republic form the preceding entities, it seems to have no connection whatsoever - it was much more to the South. Likewise removing the United states of the Ionian islands, the latter day counterpart to the Septinsular republic - again, no real connection here, at least none that I can see. Battle of Vis or Battle of Lissa? Battle of Tarvis or Battle of Tarvisio? edit

What is the rule? We have to use the name of today (Vis and Tarvisio) or the name at the time of the Battle (Lissa and Tarvis)? I would suggest the name at the time of the battle. Anyway, once adopted, the rule has to be followed in all cases.--Deguef (talk) 17:11, 10 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

The "occupation" edit

"The first occupation of the Slovene Lands in the Habsburg Monarchy by the French Revolutionary Army after the Battle of Tarvis in March 1797, led by General Napoleon Bonaparte, had caused huge civil disturbances."

Where is the source of this claim? Napoleonic forces were fully welcomed in Slovenia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.165.114.203 (talk) 23:29, 1 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Croatian name for the Illyrian Provinces should be: "Ilirske provincije". IvaMa (talk) 01:07, 15 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
