Not a primary topic edit

@Padgriffin and Guy Harris: The literature refers to the IBM System/370 as System/370 or S/370, not as 370 or IBM 370; thus IBM System/370 is not a primary topic for IBM 370 and it should either be a redirect to IBM 370 printer or it should be a DAB page. WP:Primary Topic refers to usage, not official literature. If an average reader searches on IBM 370, are they most likely looking for an article on the computer or the printer? That is how we decide the best target for a redirect. MB 17:45, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Had the page been titled S/370, I would have agreed that while unofficial it is common. However, I haven't seen IBM 370 so used anywhere except in the redirection page. Is there any reason to believe that an average reader would be looking for IBM 370? --Shmuel (Seymour J.) Metz Username:Chatul (talk) 18:21, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Because they are looking for an IBM computer and they know the series is 370. Just like IBM 360 redirects. MB 18:27, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
That sounds like a guess and a violation of WP:NWFCTM, not a reason to believe. It certainly doesn't satisfy the highly likely in WP:PTOPIC. --Shmuel (Seymour J.) Metz Username:Chatul (talk) 17:30, 27 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
I think you are totally wrong. Just google "IBM 370" (in quotes) and you see page after page about the computer, like "Memories From IBM 370 to ARM - IEEE Computer Society". It is highly likely the primary topic. If you want more opinions, you can take this to WP:RFD. MB 18:34, 27 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
