Alt Right Extremist Horror House

According to this article...

A Alt Right Extremist Horror House is a simulated torture house that uses graphic violence and hate symbols to shock and convey a political message to guests. These types of experiences are a growing trend in America and often they happen in rural areas of states and sometimes cities. These experiences are political in nature and involve mostly women being tortured for entertainment, but often people of color are targets as well as Jewish and Muslim men and women. Some shows are based off right wing conspiracies and others are just torture chambers fueled by misogyny, racism, sexism, ableism and hate. McKamey Manor is said to have started this trend.

I did a bit of googling, and couldn't find anything about it being linked to the alt-right movement. Are there any other examples of this movement besides McKamey Manor? A lot of this seems like original research to me... What do you think? Margalob (talk) 18:06, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

I have been looking into the "Origins" paragraph, and have found a good deal of information which ought to be included, but is absent. I am undertaking a re-write of this section. In the section Business Environment this sentence appears: "Attractions are covered by industry trade magazines including Hauntworld Magazine, Haunted Attraction Magazine, and Fangoria." There is a bit of a problem with this statement. Fangoria does not seem to cover Haunted Attractions at all. Movies, TV, games, yes, but no attractions. The other two suffer from "the elephant in the room" problem. They specifically do not mention the big-league attractions (not that they need any help), but their editorial policy comes into question when their list of "top 31 haunts in America" only includes their trade group members. I'm not suggesting removing mention, as the independent professional attractions deserve a voice, but I think some caveat is in order. Fangoria, on the other hand, does not seem on point. The first list placed is for Haunted theme parks, and its conventions are as follows:

• Seasonal: Must be ad hoc event, run seasonally, not permanent attraction
• Theme: Strictly Halloween/horror theme, harvest festivals, etc. not included

Second list: Simulated Haunted Houses/Mansions/Castles (year around), with its conventions:

• Notability: Must be international, national or at least substantially regional
• Scale: Single attractions only
• Seasonal: Must be a permanent attraction, open when its park is open
• Theme: Strictly Halloween-like theme, "fun houses" not included

Third list: Simulated Haunted Houses/Mansions/Castles (seasonal), with its conventions:

• Notability: Must be international, national or at least substantially regional
• Scale: Single attractions only
• Seasonal: Must be ad hoc event, run seasonally, may be permanent location
