Dates of Capture edit

The Danish record sheet for Søormen clearly records capture of this ship by the enemy on 11 August 1808, not November. Tim Voelcker's book "Admiral Saumarez versus Napoleon" (Boydell)pp 49-53 records these actions by Keats and HMS Edgar at Langeland and Nyborg as being in early August, and Voelcker quotes "Tracy, Naval Chronicle IV, pp 183 -8 " as one of his sources. I do not know where November crept into the equation, except that repatriation of the troops from Sweden was reportedly much delayed.

Have gone back to the original letter in the London Gazette, verified the August date, and corrected the date in the article.Acad Ronin (talk) 21:01, 16 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
