Say, has anybody else noticed that if you position a glider gun just right, it will eat gliders hitting it from the opposite direction, and stop outputting its own gliders? As soon as it stops eating gliders, it returns to its previous behaviour. Perfect for a NOT gate! --Spudtater (talk • contribs) 16:17, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Some recent edits are continuously swapping the terms 'glider' and 'spaceship', which I don't think is right because the two terms are not interchangeable. A spaceship is any configuration that moves in a line; a glider is a very particular kind of spaceship, in fact the smallest spaceship. Thus (see, e.g. this section of the reference) a gun shoots spaceships (which can include, e.g. the "LWSS", "MWSS", "HWSS" and probably even larger specimens) while a glider gun is a special type of gun that shoots gliders. Accordingly I'm going to edit the page; please reply if you find I've made a mistake or misunderstood something. colfulus‽ 12:04, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Which glider gun is the smallest? Doing a challenge where I have to defend against Gosper gun, and don't have much space for building. Please give me ideas below. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.214.136.35 (talk) 00:42, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
