Recording? edit

This interview with André Perry http://www.yellow-sub.net/article.php3?id_article=7759 provides a lot of info about the song, including the need of overdubs for the chorus and the equipment used for the recording and mixing of the song. I could try to put the info on wiki but if someone else wants to do it I won't be against it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.157.236.73 (talk) 03:33, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Use in Trial of Billy Jack edit

IMHO, common sense says that if a notable film includes a notable song, then that fact is worth noting on the song's article (and vice versa). Or at the very least, if the movie is mentioned in the song's article, the mention shouldn't be removed. As an example, the article for the song Kokomo mentions that it is featured in the movie Cocktail, even though all you hear is a 5-second clip of the song in the background (and the article does not reference an external source to back up the fact that the song is in the movie -- wouldn't that be overkill?). The song Give Peace a Chance plays a much more prominent role in the movie Trial of Billy Jack. Capmango 15:01, 4 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rapping edit

The song intersperses sections of what sounds like rapping. What is the relationship, if any, with rap music? Badagnani (talk) 00:28, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Give Peace a Chance 2000 edit

I have a remix of this song that was released by Yoko Ono shortly after the 9/11 tragedy, with lyrics by her about the towers being hit and to "deal with it". It also has lines like "the sky was so blue - and we had no clue." I seem to recall that this version of the song was released digitally and was free of charge. Is there any reason that this version is not mentioned in the article? I don't think this is the same as the 2008 version, since I've had it for at least 6 or 7 years. The Beatles? edit

From the article:

" The original last verse of the song refers to: "John and Yoko, Timmy Leary, Rosemary, Tommy Smothers, Bobby Dylan, Tommy Cooper, Derek Taylor, Norman Mailer, Allen Ginsberg, Hare Krishna and The Beatles".

He didn't mention The Beatles, the last line is Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Hare Hare Krishna. Unless I've heard it wrong all these years. Is there a source for this?70.91.35.27 (talk) 20:56, 11 June 2013 (UTC)TimReply
