This entry is terribly biased edit

Clearly the original author of the Honthorst entry in the Encyclopedia Britannica had a bone to pick with the artist, or was simply an enormous snob. There are value judgments in here which have no place in a reference work. On top of that, they're the worst kind of purple prose. Case in point is the sentence ending "...whose prosaic pencil was not capable of more than vulgar utterances, and whose art gained little from the repetition of these quaint vagaries." I'm removing this passage and the others like it so that the entry will reflect an unbiased viewpoint.Benjaminbreen (talk) 22:03, 23 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Name edit

Per Encyclopedia Britannica, his name was "Gerrit van Honthorst, also called Gerard van Honthorst", no "ve" in his name. Please stop edit warring over this 159.196.157.197 (talk · contribs).
