I just cleaned this article up a bit. It tended to occasionally mention an idea, then veer off topic. Also, cleaned up some punctuation, sentence structure, grammar and spelling errors. I think that after: "The only background on the Jefferson family is that they were Alabama sharecroppers." a statement should be added that says something like, "George's mother, repeatedly said it wasn't true." And "the family had different roots." This is based on my memory of watching the show almost 30 years ago.

I haven't made a significant update to Wikipedia in many years. I don't know the current rules for "source material". I will read those rules before I make any "updates". I'm also going to try and watch some (20+) episodes so I can get the quotes rights and also cite where the information comes from in those episodes.

This will be a minor upstate to the page but maybe a major change to the "tone" of this and other pages dealing with the subject.
