Rename edit

Suggest a renaming of this article to the subject's actual name "Akleem Akhtar" instead of her nickname "General Rani". Thoughts? Donama (talk) 00:04, 17 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Om Gupta source - reliable? edit

This discussion is about the following source:

  • Gupta, Om (2006). "Akleem Aktar". Encyclopaedia of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh (Adarsh Nagar, Delhi, India: Isha Books) 2: 66. ISBN 81-8205-389-7.

Is Om Gupta's "encyclopaedia" reliable per WP:RS? If not, what course of action to take with the information about Akhtar's role as powerbroker? Is this completely untrue or not? If it's true then we need to find sourcing. Donama (talk) 02:28, 30 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Cultural stupidity edit

The name of the lady's paramour is mis-spelt eleven times. Kahn is a Jewish name. The correct spelling is Khan - get a life! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tofindya (talkcontribs) 17:59, 21 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Article title edit

@PatGallacher: I'm not sure of the logic for moving this page. As most of the sources use "General Rani", and this one[1] states "few even know her real name: Akleem Akhtar. General Rani she was, and remains to all but an intimate few", WP:COMMONNAME would point to the original "General Rani" as being the correct title for the article. --John B123 (talk) 18:07, 26 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
