I think this page should be renamed to "Gainful employment (psychology)", since the term "gainful employment" has a much broader (e.g. legal) use. Ideally, adding a template for the legal meaning would be great.
I am not sure how renaming a page works in wiki, so suggest someone with a better knowledge of wiki does it. 129.93.150.125 (talk) 19:20, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- That helps me out more than the entire article. Here I was coming here to see what the legal definition was and seeing all this psychology.. I was confused.
number 7 in the first section, "SMART" goals, the "S" means "specific", no?

It would be incorrect to label the term with Psychology, as the term has no distinct definition for purposes of Psychology. Rather, the term "gainful employment" most likely traces its roots back to constitutional law theory. 108.201.29.108 (talk) 20:13, 6 October 2017 (UTC)
Components of gainful employment edit
these are all nice points. However, gainful employment also ought to include the ability to save and invest for future/contribute to retirement accounts - gainfully acquiring wealth or resources... Let us eat lettuce (talk) 21:32, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
