The language of this act (and its predecessor) seems to criminalize voluntary female genital piercings in adults. It explicitly says, "Girl includes woman." Also: As the [new NHS] guidelines class women with piercings as FGM victims, it theoretically could make those responsible for carrying out the piercing guilty of an offence under legislation banning the practice, a Department of Health (DoF) spokesman confirmed[1] --176.0.83.240 (talk) 20:23, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
