Can more info be added, please edit

Can a note be added about the number of plates, their engravers and possibly artists, please. I see from the quoted text that a list of contributors is in the work. Can you say a little about them, please, especially any who might be well known. Aitchison is not in the DNB, I see, but might be in the Update out in September Apwoolrich 17:47, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Editor-in-chief edit

See Robert H. Carnie, "Publishing in Perth Before 1807" (Abertay Historical Society, 1960) for discussion of the identity of the editor-in-chief: namely Alexander Aitchison (Q91640841) (birth and death dates unknown), member of the Royal Physical Society of Edinburgh; he was also compiler of The Modern Gazeteer (1798). Not to be confused with Alexander Aitchison (Q91672116) (1747-1807), Scottish silversmith and radical, or Alexander Aitchison (1850-1905), Canadian firefighter.
