As currently written I am not sure that Yan Jianyuan meets the notability guidelines. Merging it with the Emperor He of Southern Qi page would allow the information to remain on Wikipedia whilst providing somewhere for additional information to accumulate. The notability guidelines are about the sources that exist, not the article as currently written. This person meets those guidelines many times over, and merging his article to the article about the emperor would totally unbalance the latter article. What next, merge every article about a current US congressman to Joe Biden? Phil Bridger (talk) 21:55, 14 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
This page is merged with another one, right? Tell me why! 219.76.26.16 (talk) 11:47, 15 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Which other one? If you are talking about the proposal above then it is simply that, a proposal, and it does not at the moment have consensus. Phil Bridger (talk) 12:13, 15 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Support merge of Yan Jianyuan into this page, as per WP:1E; that is, Yan Jianyuan is notable only for a hunger strike related to the death of Emperor He of Southern Qi. Hence, on .en, I don't think that he reaches independent notability and that stub is best merged here for context. Klbrain (talk) 07:28, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
