Captions? edit

There are some lines in this article that very much appear to be captions. Are they supposed to be there, or were they possibly copied in by error?Young Skywalker 17:38, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

POV? edit

This article reads to me as intended to be a vindication of Wingfield. Nothing wrong with a vindication, but it out to be a chapter of the article, not the article itself. IOW, I think this has a POV problem. (btw - I am not passing judgement on Wingfield). Anybody else see that? Also, the link to the "First Landing" movie seems to go to a sci-fi movie...??? Many years later - but I was most surprised to see the POV in the lead paragraphs. I have read several articles and excerpts about Wingfield in recent years and none of them picture him in such glowing terms. Donner60 (talk) 09:30, 2 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

First election/First Persident in present day USA edit

This is an interesting claim, but unfortunately there is no citation to back it up, it seems more like an assumption that historical fact, I will delete it but if anyone can find a source, by all means restore it Bennyj600 (talk) 16:54, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Article appears to be Anti-Catholic and prejudiced. The Author seems extremely concerned because Wingfield had the middle name of "Maria" which might imply he had been a bloody Catholic and a traitor to his master King Henry VIII, a secular ruler, who decided he was the head of the English Church and therefore entitled to the looting of the Churches and Monasteries of England for his personal profit.
