Why is a substantial part of the introduction duplicated in http://www.traveldocs.com/do/economy.htm edit

There's inadequate attribution either way for verbatim copied text in the first section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.159.29.206 (talk) 02:30, 17 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

D R Economy: two pages about the same subject edit

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Dominican_Republic contains a section about D R Economy; and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_the_Dominican_Republic is devoted only to the the description of the Dominican economy. Both pages are subject to improvement. Shouldn’t they be merged first?--Jabato60 (talk) 02:05, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

== The World Bank states that the percentage of people living under the poverty line in the Dominican Republic was 40.9% in 2012 [1] 1994gm (talk) 19:33, 18 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Tourism in the DR edit

The section of tourism in the DR is sort of outdated. Also, tourism in the DR provides one of the major economic revenues of the country, so more information about it could be included.

Tourism in the DR edit

I would like to add on the first sentence of the Tourism section that in 2006 the fiscal revenues from tourism grew from US $170 million in comparison to US$86 million in 1998. I found this information on page 391 of the book "Achieving Development Success: Strategies and Lessons from the Developing World" [1] 1994gm (talk) 04:27, 3 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Informaton edit

I think the information in this article is very good and accurate, though i think it will be good to inlcude more updated information about more places in the Dominican Republic to go visit like Punta Cana and La Romana. This is becuse the economy of the Dominican Reoublic highky depends in many way on tourism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Camelonski95 (talkcontribs) 01:58, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
