DRAGONheart

This film involves a dragon, right? So why is there no dragon activity featured in the plot summary? Having seen this film 7 years ago, I am deeply confused. Arkyopterix 09:38, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

New Synopsis

While the previous plot summary was stylistically lovely, it pretty much outlined the first fifteen minutes of the film in excruciating detail while neglecting a majority of the story. Draco first CGI main character

1. Draco was the first completely computer-generated main character.

Is this true? Toy Story was released a year earlier (1995), and it was a completely CG movie. 65.0.39.79 10:38, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

• • The Timeline of CGI in film and television points out that Casper (film) came out slightly before Toy Story, which means he's not even this first completely CGI main character in a live-action film. So yeah, I'm going to go ahead and take this one out. Roundelais 16:30, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Article Rework

I would like to rework this article so that it falls in line with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Style guidelines. This will involve:

• Revising the lead paragraph
• Cutting the Plot Summary back down below 900 words (ideally should be around 700)
• Standardizing and referencing sources for the 'Trivia' (most of which seems to come from Rob Cohen's commentary on the Collector's Edition DVD, which I now have), and
• Reducing/integrating/eliminating the fancruft elements of the article

Casting puzzle

This article's Casting section notes that Patrick Read Johnson, who co-supplied the Dragonheart story, sought to cast Liam Neeson in the lead but was turned down by the studio (presumably, Universal), which "refused to believe Neeson could pull off the action hero role since he had just completed Darkman." But Neeson's lead role in Darkman was likewise that of an action hero of a kind, even if a vengeful one. Why, then, should it follow that the studio was skeptical? On Twitter, I have confirmation from screenwriter Jennifer B.
