Second most popular party? edit
The claim that the SGP is the second most popular party in DC seems to be based on the fact that in 2006 all SGP candidates combined got more votes than all Republican candidates combined, but the SGP was running more candidates, so the statistic is misleading. In registration, the SGP has less than a sixth of the voters the Republicans do. KCinDC (talk) 16:16, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

- The District of Columbia isn't a state. It's a terroeitory with one city - Washington, D.C.. Since they're coterminus, they have one government. Me-123567-Me (talk) 16:56, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- The party itself and its national organization consider it a state-affiliate. For the purposes of this article, that should be sufficient for including it in the GPUS by state category.--TM 22:21, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
