Climate of Akukeyri edit

- Yes, it does, just barely. The driest month in the summer half year is just barely less than 1/3 the wettest month in the winter half-year. Thus, it qualifies as Csc, if you use -3C as your isotherm for separating temperate (C) and continental (D) climates, like myself. Some people use O deg C, which would then make Akureyri "Dsc". "10 tons of material can be in motion per transect per hour." I can't see what transect could possibly mean in this sentence. This is a flux-type dimension it could be g/m^2/sec for instance. The Transect article does not help either. Daveekee (talk) 18:28, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Typical weather conditions in an Icelandic winter edit
The text under the photo of the jeeps in snow for typical winter conditions in Iceland might be misleading.
Because these are not typical weather conditions for most localities in Iceland. Especially with climate change. These conditions are quite frequent in the highlands, but your average citizen or tourist will not experience them.
