Well, fame is always a debatable thing, but he's already been profiled prominently by various media in several countries. Also, if you Google his name it finds "about 18,100" results, and I don't believe there's anyone else with that name. He's certainly "out there" and rising fast. Not a household name, admittedly, but very few classical musicians ever get to be household names outside the world of classical music. Big Brother contestants, however, do (for a short while, at least) become household names. Go figure... And, by the way, is there, or should there be, a Wikipedia policy on notability? Should someone be considered notable and worthy of mention only if they have popular celebrity status? Or is notability through some sort of "contribution" to the world (even if not widely known about) acceptable too? Latin Grace?

Following the strange insertion and removal of latin grace (4 December 2006), User:Dr. Peter Feuerstein added it again on 20 December (a more correct version this time) - this is his only contribution. It's since been reformatted slightly (21:22, 2 April 2007 195.217.52.130). It's also not entirely correct, according to the College Handbook. Should it be there at all? I've corrected it and moved it to its own section (which seems to be more sensible), but I think either it should be expanded on (e.g. as a part of ===Catering===) or removed entirely. I haven't changed anything, but I would be in favour of having the college grace- it is part of Clare's history. Many of the other colleges have their grace present (e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity_College,_Cambridge) and in the interests of consistency at the very least it seems like a good idea to have it. I do completely agree with the idea that it should be in it's own section though and we should use a verified link, of course. Lists of masters and alumni

Is it acceptable to move the list of masters to a separate article page, e.g. Masters of Clare College, Cambridge, and similarly move the list of alumni to e.g. Alumni of Clare College, Cambridge? Removing the two lists from the main article would appear to me to improve its structure considerably. Comments? -- MightyWarrior (talk) 22:39, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

I agree with moving the alumni list is getting ridiculously long and detracting from the article. (It's also got people who I wouldn't count as notable on.) Should probably have a standardised system for all the colleges, Trinity has the list of masters, but only very notable alumni, with a separate list for the rest of the notable alumni. Jesus has a list of alumni, but the list of masters is on a separate page. I'm torn between moving the both, or just moving the alumni, but am siding with moving both. Separating out the list is only necessary when the main article gets too large or the list itself is notable enough. There aren't many notable names on List of Masters of Clare College, Cambridge as it is. Why not incorporate it here?--RadioFan (talk) 00:22, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

As a general proposition, lists do not sit well (IMHO) in a mainly narrative article, although may be acceptable if the list is sui generis. In this instance, we have a clear genre (Masters of Cambridge Colleges) and it would make more sense to aim to complete that as a set, thus establishing a consistency of approach, than have some lists separate and some embedded in the main college article. --The Sage of Stamford (talk) 22:10, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

I support having a separate list of Masters, as it improve the readability of the main encyclopedia article. I also suggest (as I did in May 2008 above) that the list of alumni is moved to a separate page - and this list is very long! -- MightyWarrior (talk) 14:24, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
